The difference starts
here
These initiatives are making a healthier community:
Golden Cross Congregational Health Ministry.
Through partnering
churches, Methodist Health System provides education and health
outreach, including flu shots and biometric screenings.
Life Shines Bright Pregnancy Program.
This program is dedicated to
healthy pregnancies, having achieved a preterm birth rate of only 5.7 percent
among its participants, compared to Dallas County’s rate of 11.7 percent.
MedAssist.
This program provides vital bridge medications —
111 prescriptions in the last year — to patients in financial need.
Through pharmaceutical partnerships, we also connected patients to
1,445 prescriptions for free medications valued at $709,997.
Methodist Generations.
This program offers a variety of wellness activities,
social events, and educational outreach for people age 55 and older.
Mobile mammography.
In partnership with Susan G. Komen® Dallas
County, Methodist’s mobile mammography unit brought breast cancer
screening directly to 3,336 women this year, including 1,904 in the
Methodist Dallas Medical Center service area.
Prostate Screening and Awareness Program.
In the past year, 3,158 men
in the Methodist Dallas service area benefited from this free service, which
provides more prostate screenings than any other hospital-based program
in the nation.
