When you’re moving and grooving to fun, upbeat music,
it makes taking time for exercise that much easier.
All across the world, and now at the Fitness
Center and Fit Zone at Methodist Charlton Medical
Center, Latin dance as exercise has taken off as
a fun and healthy way to stay fit. By infusing
numerous types of dance and rhythms into
classes like Zumba® and salsa, the Fit Zone not
only makes attendees feel comfortable, but also
gives them a place to leave their stress, worries, and
cares at the door.
Classes can range from 30 minutes to an hour and
provide an incredible cardiovascular workout that can
boost your mood — and even your dance skills!
It can be hard finding time to exercise and stay fit while
managing family, career, and social activities. But carving
out a little time to shake and shimmy might just be the
right prescription for a happy and healthy balance for life.
How Latin dance just might be the right beat for you
