Since
Methodist Mansfield Medical Center
opened in 2006, the hospital has nearly doubled
its capacity.
Now it’s in the midst of another growth spurt:
A $118 million facility expansion is underway to
add a second patient care tower to the Methodist
Mansfield campus.

who have chosen Methodist Mansfield for
their care,” says John Phillips, FACHE, hospital
president. “The Patient Care Tower Two’s
expanded services, advanced technology, and
additional inpatient and outpatient care will
enable us to continue in our role as the trusted
provider for residents of Mansfield and the
surrounding communities.”
Here is what you and your family can look
forward to when the tower opens in fall 2015:
More convenience
With two additional surgical suites and four new
gastroenterology suites, it’s easier for patients to
have their surgical and diagnostic procedures
close to home. One suite is specially designed for
advanced robotic procedures with the da Vinci®
Surgical System and the other for the latest
open heart technologies.
Room to grow
The new 110,000-square-foot patient care
tower will initially have 54 spacious private
rooms, with space for 64 more.
A stronger community
With the new patient care tower, we’re proud to
be adding up to 200 new jobs to the Mansfield
community within the next five years. That
equals $11,935,040 in additional salaries a
year. Tower Two also offers a new two-story
atrium with seating areas and a community
room for local events, workshops, and meetings.
Faster emergency treatment
Patient Care Tower Two can accommodate more
patients in need of emergency and critical care
services. Aided by our new
ervice,
care for your loved ones is faster than ever. In
addition, the new tower boasts a dedicated stroke
intensive care unit as well as a new postcoronary
intervention unit for heart patients.
