say that lightning never strikes the
same place twice. Unfortunately, the same
can’t be said for heart attacks.
“The truth is, once you’ve had a heart
attack, you face an increased risk of having
another one,” says Roberto Wayhs, MD,
FACC, FSCAI, chief of cardiology at
Methodist Charlton Medical Center.
“The good news is that you aren’t
guaranteed to have another one. In
fact, there are quite a few things you
can do to prevent one.”
