Methodist Dallas Medical Center is adapting and growing
to meet patient needs with advanced technology and
compassionate, quality care. We’re proud to share some
highlights from 2013:
Charles A. Sammons Tower.
In 2013, we celebrated
the topping-out and swift progress of this $122 million,
six-story facility. The tower will strengthen and expand
Methodist Dallas’ emergency and surgical services and
critical care capacity.
Expanded primary care services.
Four new Methodist
Family Health Centers and Medical Groups opened
throughout the Metroplex, including at Preston Hollow,
Inwood Village, and Timbercreek Crossing.
Live Bright.
Methodist is bringing our wellness solutions
to local businesses. We offer patient-centered medical
homes to manage and improve the health of employees,
comprehensive wellness programs, and clinic services to
address all levels of health.
New education center for GI disorders.
A gift fromNita and
John Ford established a newGastroenterology (GI) Conference
Room in the nationally recognized Methodist Dallas John R.
Ford Center for Digestive Health.
New surgical advancements.
Methodist Dallas now
offers Single-Site™ gallbladder removal with the da Vinci®
Surgical System. The hospital also offers advanced
endovascular neurosurgery procedures, including
cerebral thrombectomies.

Leaders lend support
to
new tower
Many community members and organizations rallied
to support the Methodist Dallas Medical Center
Charles A. Sammons Tower this year. Among them
are the Hillcrest Foundation, Atmos Energy, and
Methodist Health System employees.
A significant gift of $1.5 million resulted from
Methodist Health System Foundation’s ninth
annual Robert S. Folsom Leadership Award
event. The event honored Rev. Mark Craig, former
senior pastor at Highland Park United Methodist

appearance at the 2013 Robert S. Folsom Leadership

Employees support the BrightER capital campaign for the Charles A. Sammons Tower by
reflecting the teamwork that goes into caring for trauma patients. The care for one young
man injured in a motorcycle accident involved more than 200 lifesavers.
