Methodist Charlton Medical Center
Spring 2014
LEADING IN OUR COMMUNITY:
Michelle Thomas, vice president, philanthropy,
Chase Bank (second from right), was one of the many prominent leaders who spoke
to Methodist Charlton employees during the Leadership Charlton series held on
campus. The monthly sessions showed employees how they can become effective
and involved volunteers in the communities where we live and serve. Shown with
Thomas are (from left) Jonathan S. Davis, FACHE, Methodist Charlton president;
April Box Chamberlain, CFRE, president and CEO, Methodist Health System
Foundation, and senior vice president external affairs, Methodist Health System;
and Steven Bristow, FACHE, Methodist vice president community relations and advocacy.
HITTING THE LINKS TO HELP HEARTS:
Methodist Charlton and the Cedar Hill Chamber of
Commerce partnered to hold a golf tournament
benefiting Methodist Charlton’s Heart and Vascular
Institute and Cedar Hill chamber programs. The
CardioShack Open was at the Golf Club of Dallas.
One participating team included physicians on the
Methodist Charlton medical staff (from left) Randal
Macurak, MD; Jeremy Vaughan, MD; and Richard
Wallner, MD, as well as Methodist Charlton President
Jonathan S. Davis, FACHE. In addition to tournament
play, the more than 80 players in attendance enjoyed
lunch and a VIP reception with a silent auction.
