MODELING HEALTHY HABITS:
Methodist
Dallas joined Cigna and Oncor as sponsors
of the Mayor’s Race in February. Race training
kicked off in the fall with students throughout
Dallas ISD. Methodist Dallas adopted Stevens Park
Elementary School, encouraging their students
to get running and train to participate in the
annual 5K run.
STEPPING IT UP FOR BRAIN TUMOR
AWARENESS:
Brian Asmussen, assistant
vice president neuro, ortho, and trauma
service lines, along with his wife, Cristi, and
their dog, Ellie, were among the 25-person
team representing the Methodist Moody Brain
and Spine Institute at Methodist Dallas. The
team of neurosurgeons, nurses, staff members,
stroke coordinators, and administrators raised
more than $2,500 to benefit brain tumor research
and patient care.
SWIMMING SUCCESS:
Methodist Dallas supported the
Kidd Springs Sailfish Swim Team (pictured here in 2013),
providing evening practices to help kids advance their
swimming skills. Support for the team will continue
during summer 2014 by providing new supplies.
