New service,
experienced
team
Although the open heart surgery
program is the latest addition to
the spectrum of cardiovascular
care available at Methodist
Charlton Medical Center, the
hospital’s nurses and physicians
on its medical staff bring decades
of open heart surgery experience
to the program.
The program includes cardio
thoracic surgeons Thomas
Hoang, MD, and John Jay, MD, and
cardiologists Russell Canham, MD;
Ravi Chandrasekhara, MD;
Robert Ficula, DO; Tim Issac, MD;
Vishu Lammata, MD; Manish
Patel, MD; Archana Srivastava, MD;
RobertoWayhs, MD; and Randall
Wilson, MD, all independently
practicing physicians on the
hospital’s medical staff.
“At Methodist Charlton, our
mission is to improve and save
lives,” says hospital President
Jonathan S. Davis, FACHE. “We
embrace our mission with
an extraordinary amount of
dedication every single day. I am
so thankful to our first open heart
surgery patient, the Rev. Jerry
Hull, and his family for having
the well-placed faith and trust in
our team of physicians and staff.
This new service is just the latest
enhancement in a continuation of
our long-standing commitment to
the community.”
A SENSE OF PEACE:
The Rev. Jerry Hull, Methodist Charlton’s first open heart
surgery patient, says he sensed the Lord’s presence, peace, and care from
everyone he met on the Methodist Charlton staff.
“I really sensed the team spirit,
and I knew they were well-prepared.”

Texas law prohibits hospitals from practicing medicine. The
physicians on the Methodist Health System medical staff are
